Platform Role
ContractorZip.com ("ContractorZip," "we," "us," or "our") operates a lead generation and contractor discovery platform that connects property managers, property owners, and other users ("Clients") with licensed and insured contractors ("Contractors"). We provide a directory and matching service only. We are not a party to any agreement, contract, or transaction entered into between Clients and Contractors.
No Endorsement or Warranty of Services
While we verify that Contractors have uploaded license and insurance documentation, we do not independently investigate, endorse, warrant, or guarantee the quality, legality, safety, reliability, or suitability of any Contractor's work, services, pricing, or conduct. Credential documentation is provided by the Contractor and is not independently verified by ContractorZip for accuracy, authenticity, or current validity beyond the 30-day expiration reminder system.
Clients and Contractors each remain solely responsible for performing their own due diligence, including but not limited to confirming license status, insurance coverage, background checks, references, and compliance with applicable laws.
Independent Contractors
All Contractors listed on the platform are independent third-party service providers. Nothing on this platform creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or franchise relationship between ContractorZip and any Contractor. Contractors are solely responsible for their own work, employees, subcontractors, taxes, insurance, and compliance with all applicable laws.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue ContractorZip, its affiliates, owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and contractors from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Any agreement, contract, or transaction entered into between a Client and a Contractor through use of the platform.
- Any work performed, or failure to perform, by any Contractor discovered through the platform.
- Any injury, property damage, financial loss, or other harm resulting from services provided by a Contractor.
- Any misrepresentation, false statement, or omission made by any user of the platform.
- Any disputes, disagreements, or claims between Clients and Contractors.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ContractorZip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the platform or any interactions with other users. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the platform or these terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in subscription fees during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), whichever is greater.
No Dispute Resolution Obligation
ContractorZip is not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve disputes between users. Users agree to resolve any disputes directly between themselves and agree to indemnify and hold ContractorZip harmless from any claims arising from such disputes.
Governing Law
This Liability Disclaimer and Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Disclaimer shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in New Jersey.

By using ContractorZip.com, you acknowledge that you have read this Liability Disclaimer and Release, understand its terms, and agree to be bound by it. You acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to seek independent legal counsel before agreeing to these terms.
